Re: NOTAM 23/08
Thanks ever so for that. I couldn't for the life of me see it. Really must get my eyesight checked, along with others who have the same problem!!!
Re: NOTAM 23/08
I'm guessing that, as there has been no further mention of it, that the U2 failed to show?

U2 were meant to be at Fairford? Didn't like anything much of theirs after Unforgettable Fire.bizfreeq wrote:I'm guessing that, as there has been no further mention of it, that the U2 failed to show?
Or is there a U-2 due?

Re: NOTAM 23/08
Anyone able to give any dates when 86-0124 was previously in the UK. TIA.

Just a reminder that any posts that don't add to the topic being discussed will be deleted without question and multiple postings that bare no relation to the topic won't go un-noticed.
Read a thread through chronologically and make sure, if you have a question, that it hasn't already been answered elsewhere. There's nothing more un-helpful to someone browsing the forum than having to sift through pages of chatter looking for info, its why I cleared up the topic last night.
The U-2 jokes were old 10 years ago too

Re: NOTAM 23/08
I have it down as departing Mildenhall on the 24th January 2009 along with 86-0109/DY if it helps.eagle driver wrote:Anyone able to give any dates when 86-0124 was previously in the UK. TIA.
Re: NOTAM 23/08
Its only previous visit to Fairford was in Nov 2002 with 85-074/DY and 86-123/DY. Although it was assigned to the 7BW and flown by a 9BS crew it still wore the `GA` tail code of its former unit the 128BS Georgia ANG.eagle driver wrote:Anyone able to give any dates when 86-0124 was previously in the UK. Re: NOTAM 23/08
I believe 86-0124 was the first B-1B to visit the UK when it appeared in the static of the Lakenheath Air Show on 27 August 1988. If my log is correct it was then operated by 384 BW.
