Very nice! Never been there (too young to get the logistics working to get to the UK), but must have been a great place to spot!

Awesome collection there, although I live in Milton Keynes and as a youngster I grew up with these beauty's flying overhead every day - due to dis interested parents I only ever visited the base once '😒
It was a little far for me to ride my bicycle there in a day !!
Spark Vark shot really makes me smile, was always my favourite.

Not sure I could ever get bored looking at the best swingers in town

Lived in Birmingham from mid '80s and spent many days off work at Upper Heyford.

Smashing shots and always keen to see more from UH. I just checked and it was yesterday (27th Oct) thirty years ago that was my final visit to Upper Heyford while it was still operational. Mum very kindly drove me down for the day during half term. Many great memories of days stood by the fence watching the action.

More please!

Some great memories there of a sadly missed type and base. I visited UH several times, including many shows. I think the first time I saw an F-1-11 was at Biggin Hill show in 1972, when the display (as such) consisted of a couple of circuits. Thanks for sharing these with us.

Brilliant stuff as always Kev - as others have said never too many '111s on here

Remember Upper Heyford with a lot of affection - always loved going there back in the day with a drive up Camp Road before deciding where to go, usually ending up at the end of the track at 27 end by the railway - Great, great days

Ah the good old days at the fence and on base with the Aviation Society. Need a time machine so that we can take all the digital gear back to the 80’s / 90’s !
