I'd hope a few more, very surprised the Blenheim isn't on the list.

Russian and US Spitfires would be great too.

Edit - Blenheim is tech atm

£52.50 for one adult and car ,ouch.
The school isn't open this year but the community centre is with parking for £10 per car and there is a cafe and toilets and some charity stands. you can stand there and watch if you don't want to go in.

Hi Andy

Thanks for posting these details. I had been holding off buying a Sunday ticket because I was watching the weather forecast!

Now that parking is sold out, I'm considering my other options and have decided that I don't fancy the park and ride! Many years ago, I used the Duxford School parking and watched the show from the farm field adjacent to the M11. Do you know if that is still an option, being underneath the approach for runway 24?

You can't normally go on the field between the M11 and Hunts road which is the road into Duxford and the school but the field opposite the school entrance is now a park and nature reserve so you can go in there, I usually go to the far side of it and through onto the hedge line on the edge of that field. It's only a very short walk from the community centre, 7 minutes maximum.
Some acts (the slower ones ) will turn in short so you may miss those but otherwise it's fine.

Thanks very much, Andy! That sounds like the perfect solution, because my main motivation is to see the heavy bomber formation!

Thanks again for the quick reply.

that's what I want to see as well. Enjoy the show

i've had a look at google earth and FYI that hedge line is 350m off the runway centreline. The centre of the football pitch in the community centre which I understand is where they park is about 600m and looking at streetview the trees shouldn't be an issue. If it's 'damp' it might be possible to stay with the car to avoid getting wet

Thanks again, Andy. That's really helpful!

I note an earlier start to the show than usual, so I will probably aim to park around 1030.

The Met Office forecast for Sunday is presently dry and cloudy until 2200, which I can live with!

According to a post on UKAR, it seems that the heavy bomber formation will only take place today, based on timings from the BBMF website. The Met Office forecast for tomorrow has also deteriorated somewhat. :(

I really want to see the heavy bomber formation, so I made a last-minute decision to head to the Community Centre today, but due to family commitments I will need to leave before the end of the show. I may return tomorrow if the forecast continues to be for a dry day, but it seems to change by the hour!!

Agreed ... must have been hidden away inside a hangar.

On arrival, while walking across to the American Museum we passed a single Spit outside the TFC Hangar and I stopped to chat with the guy who was with it. Did nt take note of the serial but this could be the one referred to. When we walked back mid afternoon it was no longer there and the hangar doors were shut.
