Re: Canon RF 100-500mm f4.5-7.1

My vote would be for the 100-500. If you need extra reach the 100-500 plus the 1.4TC will beat the 200-800, albeit it only gets you to 700mm.

Guys just let it go, we have no influence on them. Look at our shower of excrement 🤣
Exactly, I couldn't agree more. I let my sister have a rant on iMSG about him and then move on. Why get so bent out of shape about someone only the American electorate can do something about. :S

Re: Romania joins F-35 Lightning II program

Me thinks if the Romanian public vote into power the pro Putin right winger that’s been in the news this week I see the possibility that they could be kissing this deal good bye. If they can ban sales to Turkey (ok for a different reason) then the deal could well be scrutinised by the Senate or Cong...

Yep, a decent chap was 'Old Thumper." Not afraid to speak his mind when needed and skilled in finding common ground. A skill-set sadly lacking from many of today's political elite... Agree. I don’t know if anyone else has previously posted a link to this opinion piece dated 2019? but I’ve only just come across it via a link on a Telegraph article on the EX.

Re: Parking at Maidscross Hill

Me neither, but hopefully not as bad as last year. In my humble experience, last year at LN during CW was the worst I've ever seen it there. Probably exacerbated by the more casual observers but horrendous non-the-less. I remember one day when there was parking either side of the approach to the vie...

I guess they're just trying to monetize what they can. Does any one know if the hotel development behind Airspace is still going ahead? not that I am endorsing that BTW! and how will that influence flying operations I wonder.

What a crock of from McLaren... Not impressed. Surely you win a drivers championship by one driver scoring more points than another.

Re: 48FW F-35A delivery summary (41 as at 11/08/2023)

Latest article suggests Lakenheath will be getting second hand jets instead of the Block TR-3 training version. I’ll guess we’ll find out when the deliveries finally recommence.

Re: Lakenheath Peace Camp

My daughter and son-in-law both work on base and it seems from the link that all movements in and out of the gate will be noted by the protesters. I hope they will respect drivers' privacy. You should have no expectation of privacy when out in a public place, so there's not much they can do. Perhap...

Re: 48FW F-35A delivery summary (41 as at 11/08/2023)

Looks like deliveries of some of the remaining airframes might soon be on the cards. Third quarter was reported in an earlier article by DFN and on the face of it looks like it could happen. They must be running out of space with a reported 100 units awaiting sign off. https://www.defensenews.com/ai...
