Re: Lakenheath F-15C departures
Where have the Reapers gone to and for how long?
Re: Lakenheath F-15C departures
At least some are at Aviano where they have been involved in the ops around/over Syria. I'm sure someone more up to speed than me will be able to tell you whether they are all out there or whether some are somewhere else.
Re: Lakenheath F-15C departures
I believe Wardog Flt have gone to Ex African Lion in Morocco. They were due to go 8 strong on Tuesday but obviously plans changed and 10 jets went to Aviano, I guess 6 is the most they could spare for Morocco but its good to see them still able to head out there! I guess it'll be a week or two for the Ex?

Re: Lakenheath F-15C departures
I think bullet flight went the same way as grim flight as I heard them on 275.625 and they also just taxied from the HAS and took off with out holding at the EoR for any reason.

They were carrying lives, so presumably had already been given the once over.slogen51 wrote:I think bullet flight went the same way as grim flight as I heard them on 275.625 and they also just taxied from the HAS and took off with out holding at the EoR for any reason.

Thanks for the info
(Wonder if the MA and Oregon will occupy the 493 shelters if they do come to Lakenheath after Frisian Flag)

With two squadrons away, very likely to be quiet!passat man wrote:So I am taking a group of 10 guys to LN on Thursday, sounds like it could be quiet?

Re: Lakenheath F-15C departures
I was planning my first visit of the year for tomorrow (Thursday) before heading back down in the afternoon for the Northolt NS. Would anyone have any info on any movements today, otherwise I might just give the sunshine a miss and go to work.

A shame there was no news of anything happening Wednesday.Covey wrote:I was planning my first visit of the year for tomorrow (Thursday) before heading back down in the afternoon for the Northolt NS. Would be interested if anyone does still go today (Thursday) how much flies from 494. If anyone goes, could they let us know what happened. It will be much appreciated

Re: Lakenheath F-15C departures
Some, maybe 8, F-15E took off at about 09:00L Thursday morning so they are flying. There is a lot of pilots there that all need / want to fly so you might be lucky.
Re: Lakenheath F-15C departures
The base looked relatively busy yesterday (Wednesday) considering only one squadron home, were flying well into the evening too

Re: Lakenheath F-15C departures
The 492nd are still here.
It is the 494th that are due back in October. They are on the 6 month F-15E TDY to the Near East.

Re: Lakenheath F-15C departures
I was there between 11 and 12 and several took off around 4 landed so 8-10 in total, and whilst at Mildenhall later say 1400 to 1500, quite a few going into land, so much busier than I thought although as taking off towards the viewing area, only read the landers (206, 219, 306 and 309
