Pathetic, truly pathetic, and before anyone trots out the usual, hackneyed old line of, 'well at least it's better than nothing...', no it's not better than nothing! If this is the best that be can done to mark such a landmark occasion in the RAF's history, then they really shouldn't have bothered...
Not usually one to join in with the negativity, but god, that's lame. Really, really lame. It's embarrassing. Does whoever came up with that logo realise that Army=red RAF=light blue?
Given the superb Battle of Britain camo on Typhoon in 2015, this is err, somewhat of a disappointment (...if of course this is "it" in terms of special schemes for the 100th anniversary...)
I'm also convinced that this is not the final special scheme. If they produced GiNA for the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain they're bound to do an all over scheme for the RAF 100th.
IF (and I say IF), this is what we have after 100 proud and honourable years, it is nothing short of shamefully woeful.
Having spent just shy of 40yrs in light blue myself, with great pride, I find this embarrassing.
I bet they draw short straws to see who flies this on any ceremonials.
I hope we see something more deserving...
I just hope that this is the reserve aircraft for RAF100.
If it goes down to Yeovilton,It will see the Canadian CF-188.
I would be a embarrassment.
Even Portugal had a nice looking AlphaJet for it's retirement.
This looks to me like a exercise to sell stuff from the RAF100 collection
