Pics from Air Fete '85 Prog

Post by F3 » Sun Feb 25, 2018 11:18 am

Air Fete regulars will remember that the programmes were in the form of a calendar full of tasty pics. I've scanned a magnificent seven from the '85 prog to share as I'm sure they'll be of interest to some.

C-141 66-0186 was the first stretched Starlifter (160 inch 'plug' before the wing, 120 inch aft) and the tail band denotes the Air Force Flight Test Center (US spelling!) at Edwards AFB.

Nice addition to the 1985 photographs

Can also remember the programme being free as there was a 2 part ticket which you could redeem at one of the kiosks. You could also get your 'Air Fete Stickers' from the same place (or one of the many guys wondering around shouting it out)

Cheers

Darren

Presumably, this was the AFFTC fin markings at the time (late 1979) when this airframe was being tested as the YC-141B.
