Thanks all once again - I am currently trying to update the list as and when I get the updates.

Mark can you confirm 078 as Tim recently said she has gone to RTP?

Steven.

It appeared on the last 2 lists,by mistake in the RTP section

I pointed that one out, didn't say it had actually gone to the depths of Yorkshire :halo:

Been busy doing a temp job, so not quite so much leisure time right now :(

Don't forget Typhoons self designated and dropped stuff out in Libya...

Until the publisher I worked for went pear shaped in 2012, I kept fairly up to date with Typhoon and F-35 and other stuff. Alas, now I just can't quite keep up with some of it

Anyhow here is what I can remember

Typhoon

Is (currently undergoing/will be undergoing) integration trials of Storm Shadow and Brimstone (One of these has started in Italy mid 2014) and also 41 has been doing Paveway VI trials out in the USA. Not sure where they are with Meteor trials

F-35

Weapons trials on and of before I lost the will to keep up....It has a mix of things that it can carry as a stealthy option, and after the combat area becomes less needy of stealth, it can carry external things like a gun....and I assume stuff similar to F-15E F-22 etc. The RAF have spoken of integrating Meteor (A to A missile)

Hope that helps, well not that its does for The Mighty Fin...

I heard that the Typhoons were unable to designate their own weapons dropped and that the GR4's did it for them during Op Ellamy back in 2011.
A bit similar to the Buccaneers lighting up the targets for the GR1's during Op Granby in 91.

During the II(AC) Sqn spotters centenary event back in May 2012 the blue suiters said by the end of Op Ellamy the Typhoons could designate targets themselves (Sometime after June or July 2011 from memory) but for the majority of the the involvement in Ellamy they needed Tornados.

Back on topic

New 41 Sqn Jet coming soon

ZG775/134 will be coded EB-Z and once all the Mods are complete it will replace ZA614/EB-Z :(

Well at least it means 41 Sqn still has something to do with the Tornado, a win win I think.

So long as ZA614 isn't put out to pasture...
