I don't think the RJF are as bad as people make out, they've improved over recent year. Always great having a C-130H in the static park

Jordanian herc is always welcome as far as I am concerned. Long time supporter of RIAT.

There is nothing wrong with them but just like the wing walkers and the Grob etc because the display line is so long unless you are in the middle of the airfield you don't really get to see them.

F-35s attending Paris, wonder how long it'll be until the 'Will they be at RIAT?' posts will start?

Just wondering what your source is for this? I was under the impression that they weren't attending European air shows in 2017.

Press release from LM and the DoD on the 26th April both stated it would not be at the show this year, or RIAT

Surprised there's nothing else on the other sites, usually they're all over news like this!
Whether it comes or not is not a big deal IMHO, such an overrated machine. When we start using them, next year I think then they'll be as regular as the Typhoon at shows!

Today's update 11-5
For only the second time in the UK, the Finnish Army will be showcasing an NH90 TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) at RIAT 2017. The previous occasion was at the Air Tattoo four years ago.

The RAF Chinook display team is back by popular demand with their gravity defying helicopter display.

Nice to have the Finnish NH90 back  even if it is static

Yay! Love the Chinook display.
NH90 would of been nice in the air with the camo scheme but hey it's still going to be there!
Nice quick update.

Wristbands came in post yesterday for Grandstand if anyone was interested.

It's not long now!

As RIAT is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the US Air Force, wouldn't it be nice to see Sally-B at Fairford this year.
