A couple of weeks ago I had a few hours on a hot sunny afternoon and a few hours on the following cloudy morning. Since I last visited, a year ago, Luke has gained a number of foreign F35s, more USAF F35s and two F16 squadrons have gone to Holloman.
Here's two of the three Italians that flew, both Japanese, a Norwegian and an Aussie, plus USAF F35 and "USAF" F16s
On my library concession I can't retrieve any 'images'; they come up "not receiveable" on a 'Lightspeed Systems web' because they're 'adult.images'. I've tried researching some wine vintages and the same comes up again, but this time because it's 'alcohol'. Is there a way around this or is it a library's software issue?
Roger.
I hope that someone somewhere gets some paint cans out and jazzes them up a bit when the F35 goes into service - lets be honest they are far too expensive a toy to use in actual combat so the 'low visibility / stealth paint' (or whatever they are coated with is redundant anyway. The Japanese have some lovely painted F15s and F4s so some one has an eye for a good paint job - it would be a shame to let that creativity dry up.
PS. For the future aero modeller the Humbrol colour card is going to be a fairly boring one pretty soon!!
I agree - whilst it's nice to see these, the lack of any colour or even really much difference between the different air forces' F35s suggests that photography is going to be less interesting in the future
