If you think Tardis it would, how do you think my B.36 and B.47 would come over...Stroudy wrote:I did think of that Paddy, but, I wouldn't fit in the C5 thats bringing them!

Reckon there's a distinct possibility of seeing some Mig-21s from Romania this year.

I can't see the confirmation of the Raptor returning to RIAT on the website. Where's the info from?
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Directly from the Air Combat Command.

Came from ACC in America, still not confirmed at RIAT end, but the poster for 2017 did have the F22 on it also. So pretty much assured. Just waiting on confirmation on RIAT end.panta615 wrote:I can't see the confirmation of the Raptor returning to RIAT on the website. Where's the info from?

Got my stickers too!

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Got mine! Then realised I have privacy glass in rear half of the car! Doh!!
Well, day and half to go where hopefully we'll get a handful of confirmations.
My bets on confirmation of US contingent seeing as it's pretty much confirmed by ACC.
However, the RAF and a handful of other events and nations seem to be confirming thick and fast so it could be a good update.

Got a good feeling we'll get something from New Zealand this year, A400 was over there at Ohakea last weekend.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Good shout to be fair. We did get something from New Zealand last year so it may have been a returned favour already?
Be good to get something in the form of a fast jet from Australia or Japan but that's maybe asking much in today's climate!

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Great to see another confirmation, I do need to air my own personal view though regarding RIAT's drip feeding of info. Before I continue please don't think I am ungrateful and I wouldn't miss one for anything. We seem to get all excited to the run up to the Thursday press release only to be fed what we already know and this week its one aircraft (although it is the F-22). I know we have to wait for official confirmation but you can't tell me that Biggin Hill this year will be the only show to get a Belgian F-16 and the French National Display Team. Yeovilton have already confirmed the Reds are coming so why does RIAT have to do this. We have about 18 weeks before the show, lets hope that next week brings in a clutch of confirmations. (and we will probably already know what they will be).
Sorry, I've got that off my chest now. Rock on RIAT and lets bring on the noise please.

I suspect the Belgian F-16 will be at RIAT, it's an almost annual participant now!
To be fair, confirmations are always spaced out at this point, it's only March.

Also pretty sure the PdeF announced some time ago that they wouldn't be at RIAT as that Friday is Bastille Day. Of course I could have imagined that, a lot of beer has flowed over the winter!

Cheers
