That is their official FB I believe, their website links to it from what I remember.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
You're right- looks like the official one.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
So another week where we have very little to add from what we already know. I know I've booked my camping pitch, booked leave from work, booked tickets for the show and am purchasing additional or new camping equipment. We have now entered March with Air Arms now announcing their plans. The largest military airshow in the world still has only a handful of acts but tells us to hurry purchasing seating as its running out.......
Please can RIAT release some more information as we all know plenty of acts must be in the bag. PLEASE.....

I've done exactly what you have, booked tickets for the weekend plus camping etc all in advance so I can attend the 'worlds biggest airshow' and avidly await to see what's coming.
I'm sure there will be plenty of folk here telling us that when it's confirmed then RIAT will release the info but compare this to this time last year we had the RAF confirmation. We already knew about the F-22, F-35, Pat Suisse, Zeus & the Phantom's plus a few others. This year it's a few helicopters and a few display teams so far. From social media it seems that they are concentrating more on overseas commitments rather than back home. I'm just worried the 70th Anniversary has been over hyped to sell the tickets knowing there's lack of interest from overseas due to a fantastic line up last year, here's hoping I'm totally wrong.
Rant over... I'm sure we'll get a bumper update next week

The USAF ACC F-16 display schedule has been released. According to airshow stuff and they are in Columbia, during RIAT weekend. So that's one not attending

No F-35 Heritage Flight!
Gap in the schedule over RIAT weekend but can't see it happening myself, sadly.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Yeah, that's a shame. But Holland has a few already so we could still see the Dutch F35 OR they are just waiting on RIAT to announce it before they post, remember Thunderbirds didn't have RIAT either when schedules came out.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Believe both the Dutch F-35s are still at Luke, doubt we'll see them over here anytime soon.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
No A-10 Heritage Flight either, massive gap in July, though.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
F-22 returning to RIAT

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Raptors for RIAT

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Fantastic addition!

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Worthy addition, but.. is it just me or is there something a bit bland about the Raptor? I know one persons love can be another persons blind spot, but I'd rather see an F-15E display (like the dynamic and powerful one at MAKS a few years back) or a Greek Phantom do a few passes any day of the week.
That said its a great aircraft and well done RIAT for getting it back to fill the schedule

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
could the USAF bring 2-3-4 a/c from their museum, it would be a good training exercise for C.5 and C.17 crews, as theres a good chance they will be in the static...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
Good idea!
I'll pick a B-58, a borrowed USN F-14D (just because its great), an F-20 and an F-111G.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread
hi,
following up on my post about museum a/c, I'd go for RB.66, F.4, F.105, Early years P.12, P26 both I think iconic US a/c, and now i'm getting into this I'd go for the Tardis concept, a lovely big beautiful B.36 and its young brother the B.47.
I would imagine the follow up B.52 will be in evidence, as one, if not the longest serving a/c in the USAF...
