Lossiemouths 15(R)Sqn's tour 22/02/2017

guys n' gals

as DC said some of us were fortunate enough to be invited on base as guests of 15(R) Sqn for an afternoon.
Like Alex said the afternoon was superb and will stay in our memories for a long time.
Unfortunately the gap that is soon to occur on Charlie stand will always haunt us in there not being any
of these wonderful AV gas burning machines ( oh the smell 23 end ) no more car alarms, no more warm breeze in
the winter when you most need it, may the legacy live on :'( :( :( :'(

enjoy my photo efforts from that epic day ;-

Great stuff, but unfortunately great things must come to an end. Hard to believe it was 24 years ago this year that the first Tornado's arrived to be based at Lossie, I can remember them arriving as a nine-ship, but that occasion was tinged with sadness as it meant the days of the 'Bucc' were numbered.

I wonder what the next 24 years will bring????

You must be happy with the results Mark including the elusive pinkie for you
As you say it was a great privilege to be allowed time with XV that afternoon.
Charlie hard forever.

Well done Mark just a pity about the lighting poles in the background.
Glad you enjoyed your day out and to fight with a bit of a wind too.
