hi all, I'm not sure if or how many official tail spotters there are but if you are & have a tail spotter badge what was yr spotter watch number?
i was 65 so I'm a little curious how many there are. :thumb:

The only spotter badge I ever owned just had 1% on it ,and I still have it

its keeping a watchful eye around the bases, having extra eyes around helps usaf & uk bases by keeping a look out for suspicious activity & reporting it
for this we can get offered tour of base & is very cool seeing them up close, learned a lot & met some really friendly u.s airmen,

try finding & talking to the local police liaison officer, i think it was pc glover but not sure if he still is. he might be able to help

He isn't there any more, someone told me at the last Base visit. Not sure as well if they are still running spotter watch.

Hi guys I have a question, I don't come from the Lakenheath/ Mildenhall Area but would love to visit is there anyone I should contact if I should visit just in case I am looked at suspiciously as a stranger or approached and asked what I am doing here?

Also is there a national scheme like this for other Airfields in the country as all I want to do is watch Aircraft without rousing locals suspicions?

hi unknown74, you should just turn up like other people do & watch or photograph or video them when they go up & just chat to people who are around, just be friendly like every1 else & yr be fine :thumb:
