This afternoon at Coventry, it was excellent to see Nimrod XV232 and Shackleton WR963 running again after a few months not running. Both aircraft ran on time and appeared to run well! Well done on the runs today to the teams, and thanks for a good afternoon. I wish both teams the best with continuing runs and look forward to attending their future events - please support them! I would certainly recommend attending future engine runs events!
The Nimrod ran first, and its 4 RR Spey engines bought the expected defeaning roar and smoke at high power. An impressive spectacle!
