Has anyone any rough ideas on a departure time for tomorrow yet?

given the arrival time as 1430-1450 CEST (BST+1) I would suggest between 1000 and 1130 BST as a rough guess the Notam (when published )may tie it down further

Edit (0830 Tuesday )The arrival of C17 and the inclusion of both B52 and B1 in the exercise as well as attending the nato day show has amended my guess to between 0900 and 1100 bst for the departures of the bone and buff the notam is not much help today

I think it could easily be a 2.5/3 hour transit, so would err on the side of caution and be there before 10

Visitor wrote:Its passed info, nevertheless B-1 arrived yesterday around 17.00 LT in Sanicole area and was on hold untill 18.00 LT for the opening of the air show, performing 2 passes.
Around 17.30 LT it did 2 approaches at Kleine Brogel.

B-1 is not listed in the program for the Sunday (tomorrow) show.
Already stated I know, but just pointing out, held for a hour at destination.
Better early than late :)

This is suggesting they are in the exercise from 12 so I'm going very early in case they leave at the crack of dawn.

Yes certainly go by pro-rata timings last week (1pm) would suggest at least 9.30 departures this time.

Unless I am reading this wrong seems both are taking part in Ample Strike tomorrow.

Expect an early NOTAM for Tuesday. RCH108 C-17A 99-0165 due in from Wright-Patt (departing there 22.30BST) - see Jeroen's post in the RCH section.

Unless, of course, it pit-stops en route.

Seen from Brize.....heading North.
Assume that's a 'wrap' for the Ample Strike Fairford detachment, when the C17 departs ?
Cheers.....S.

As said, the person that this rumour had originated from said that the second B1 that left today would be staying put, so I'd take anything you hear as a pinch of salt :)
