Post by karlbutler » Tue Jul 20, 2010 12:32 pm

Can anyone help me with a query ? I stayed on Fly by camping at Riat ths year and on the sunday the solo F5 pilot overflew the campsite and either went tech or broke the sound barrier ? Can anyone confirm this as I only couted 5 back in and the solo guy was holding well away from the airfield and I dont remember him returning ?

I was sitting in the back of my people carrier with legs dangling out the back, the fast pass over us, swung my left leg as thou i had been kicked,
i thought it very cool and took me back to years gone by.

Apparently he did just touch the sound barrier and flattened a fair few tents on one of the campsites too! I don't think he came back either, probably went back to Switzerland PDQ to claim immunity from the CAA!! :D
Cheers,
