I find it amusing that there are many posts and a large amount of interest in a civvie 747 but we are not allowed to post a photo of it as it is the wrong type of aeroplane

Posted above but repeated here for clarity.

If they arrive tomorrow, it will be around 2030 - 2100 our time at the very earliest. My personal guess is that they will arrive on Wednesday sometime.
I should think they will arrive on Friday afternoon / evening as they did last year.

As of 09.00 BST, none of the the AR tracked they would likely use for aircraft coming from Minot etc are active for the next 24 hours.

You can post a photo of it as it Military related ( chartered) at a Military airfield. You need to post it in the Military Photo section. :thumb:

Think Rule 8 should be changed to allow civil aircraft engaged in a military operation to be included. Like it or not they happen to be an important part of these deployments and excluding them doesn't properly cover these events as I think we should.

On the 10-11 Jan'62, a B-52H demonstrated it had the range to fly over 12,500 miles when it flew from Kadena AB, Japan to Torrejon AB, Spain without air refuelling so those believed to be coming from Minot are on a short hop in comparison - they may or may not A/R it depends on training requirements.

STRONG suggestion on FB 'Planes, Cameras, Banter' that 2x BUFFs are due tonight circa 2000L.

Gen info from a guy very much in the know.

Unless there was a (now expired/taken down) NOTAM for an earlier window, Minot is not opening for business until 1300BST today (see NOTAM M0356/16 reproduced above).
