Sent my registration off and transferred the money on Friday but not heard back yet whether I've been successful.

Thanks for the update Ian. Just received the same message as well. Confirmation of my place subject to checking the payment has come through and details to be issued w/c 9th May (don't panic if it doesn't come out on the 9th :).

I think Night shoot it will not be, If we have to be off at 9.30 it is not going to be dark so let hope the sun shines and we get some nice soft warm light on them.,
The sun sets at 8.50 so it a evening/Dusk shoot Really.

Should be a nice evening.

Thanks Gary. Was thinking of getting down earlier anyway to make the most of the long trip so might try and time it for this.

Lancaster has some fuel tank work having done according to recent FB update. They expect her to fly in 3-4 weeks.

Got my confirmation and joining instructions today. 6-9pm. Bit sparse on what will be on offer. "From this point the evening will be yours to view the aircraft as you see fit under the control of your escort....".

Marham have emailed and the Grandy jet won't be at the shoot :(
Dear Enthusiasts,

Thank you for supporting our RAF Marham Enthusiasts Day next week. Unfortunately due to some unexpected maintenance work the Op GRANBY paint scheme Tornado will be unavailable for photographs next Thursday. In addition other participating aircraft are no longer able to attend. We realise this will be a big disappointment for many of you and therefore have decided to run two options.

Option 1) We will re schedule the event within a month and provide full refunds to anyone who no longer wishes to attend.

Option 2) We continue with the event at a reduced ticket price of £20, with full refunds available for those who no longer wish to attend. We will be able to provide three Tornados including the 31 Sqn 100th anniversary tail this will be accompanied by a BE2C (Subject to weather and serviceability). Aircrew will be providing a cockpit tour and a display of weapons carried by Tornado. In addition to this the airfield will be conducting normal operations where you will have the opportunity to see Tornados going about their daily business.

Please respond with your preferred option by midday Monday, in order to allow us to inform you of the selected option by Monday evening.

We can only apologise for the inconvenience this has caused but sadly the circumstances are beyond our control. Thank you for your support and we look forward to hearing back from you.

Yours,

The RAF Marham Enthusiasts Day Team
Think I might email saying option 1, have the day rescheduled

option 2 because something definite is better than a 'maybe'
