Just to let any new members who are joining our model section, the group build is currently running with the title 'Lakenheath based aircraft through the years' in any scale. So if anyone would like to join in then please just start a new topic were ours are and show us your work. Everyone is welcome so please feel free to join in.

You dont need to ask, as long as it is/was based at lakenheath then bung it on. Our number crunchers have provided serials for some which are on this thread. So far we have some nice F-15's with some F-100's to follow but that leaves the F-4's, F-111's and B-29's (there are some decals on hannants for these, just tap in lakenheath in there search engine and you get a page of decals in all scales).

So join in and share your work, but if the current theme isnt for you then let me know as if enough people want the same couple of themes then I will run simultaneous builds. We already have some themes at the begining of this thread but if what you want isnt there then just sudgest it by replying to this thread :thumb:

Sadly, as far as I can see they havnt. There are a few for 48th but no 32nd (unless someone else knows otherwise)

I will have a look for some Lakenheath F-4's to see if one can be done using odds and sodds

Mark,

Its the italeri erc version. It has the paragon fin and martin baker seats added. It is depectided to be flying so i did not bother with the slats and flaps set. i am due to finish this in 31 sq goldstars special tail!

I am just wondering if people would like me to run more than one group build at once. I thought that by doing this more people would like to join in. Any ideas/suggestions please reply to this thread or PM me. There are some theme suggestions at the beginning of this thread but if you would like to suggest another one or two then please feel free.

I have plenty to be getting on with, with the F100. :thumb:
I think the Gulf War (1) seemed a popular theme and it is some thing I would like to see. I should have got one of those Victors in the sale while I had a chance.
I would still like to suggest Phoenix squadron (the book) as a theme. Some interesting aircraft to choose from there. It not just Buccaneers and Phantoms. All those nice Guatemalan F 51 , A37 and C47 mmmmm :D
