Lossie 05 Typhoon T3 ZK380 T

Post by balamorybuzzed » Fri Oct 09, 2015 8:14 am

Hi All,

Lossie 05 declared a PAN yesterday after a touch and go @ Leuchars 16.45. She was flagged with a hydraulic problem regarding the landing gear, and had Leuchars Tower carry out a visual inspection via flyby @ 200ft. The nose wheel door was seen to be open, but nose wheel still inside. She then flew out over the sea in an attempt to dislodge the gear into place. She then transited back to Lossiemouth in a hurry and the last I heard it was decided she would attempt a straight in approach on Runway 23. I presume she and her fellow pilot landed safely?

Cheers,

Mikey

Yes, it landed without further incident. Suspected hydraulic fluid leak.

She asked if anything was on the runway as they suspected a leak, but fire crew who followed the jet reported nothing visible.
