Re: Swiss Air Force visit 31 july till 7 august
That was easy! All seven Swiss are out side.
5 have flown so far and 4 have recovered and joined two others on the ramp near the spectators carpark.
ZF289 tucano arrived and has been towed off somewhere.

Monday night
Its blowing a gale at Valley - I hope the Swiss are securely tied down!
Monday was a good day for me - logged 13 Hawk T.2 between 12:00 and 16:00L
Also saw a grey Griffin type chopper that I couldn't read off

Thanks for the Griffin serial
( I had quick look at Valley before leaving for the Caernavon air museum on Tuesday morning and by 9a.m a cola and a pegy flight were already active - all seven must have been left outside overnight)

Re: Swiss Air Force visit 31 july till 7 august
Good afternoon,
I managed a flying visit yesterday afternoon, arriving around 3.30. At that point there were 5 PC-21s on the ramp, one of which was A-107 and the rest unsure due to bad heat haze! At around 3.30 a pair took off (of course I was at the Rhosneigr end of the airfield at that point so missed them), and when I got back round to the other side around 1545 there were 3 aircraft parked up, although from the beach end 2 looked to have "moved" and appeared further down the line. Aside from the 4 aircraft that are referred to above as being airborne around 1615L, did anything else fly yesterday afternoon?
(In other words, were there already 4 aircraft airborne by 1545L or just the 2?)
Answers on a postcard please!
cheers
Stuart

Re: Swiss Air Force visit 31 july till 7 august
Sorry for late posting but for the record 6 out of the 7 were noted flying on Thurs 6th as follows all neatly taxied out in numerical order early pm no sorties flown am!
A-101 & A-102 Pegi 11flt
A-103 & A-104 Gizmo 22 flt
A-105 & A-106 Cola 31 flt
A-107 was easily visible on the VASS apron across from the main gate as it was positioned closest to the public viewing area/carpark, at end of fltline.
Pegi 41 flt T/O 1502 on 31 as i was leaving with another pair (Cola 52 flt noted i/b for rwy 13 at 1610L) they must have changed rwys later as they were in 31 most od day
They pedictably departed early doors on Fri
And yes they dep as 3 pairs + 1 in numerical order (is it something Swiss?!)
1st pair dep on 13 at 0835 with A-107 at 0848L
Support was Be1900D T-729 c/s SUI 465 arr 0928L & dep 1025L
