Aviation Patches
Re: Aviation Patches
Hi all,
Some great patch hauls there. I wonder if anyone can Please help me. The Japanese P-1 came out to display when I was looking at the static Italian C-27 so I went to watch it and meant to go back but forgot. I really fancied the green 98 Gruppo Anniversary patch so I wonder if anyone has one that they would be prepared to sell or know where I can get one.
Many thanks
Rob

Re: Aviation Patches
Where did you get the 67th SOS anniversary patch? I didn't see that for sale, it's not a common patch so you did well.

Re: Aviation Patches
Here is my RIAT patch haul.

Loads of good patches there but prices at some such as the Dutch KDC-10, the Dutch Chinook, the Polish M-28 among others were outrageous! Most sqns were selling for around 5£ which is normal. The Czech Hind and the Japanese P-1 really missed a great opportunity. Would loved to have gotten that P-1 patch!!! Only know of three people who got one at the show.

I walked passed the P-1 a couple of times a day between Friday and Sunday and didn't see the crew selling. On Friday we asked the crew if they were selling patches and he said no
Missed out on the Italian C-27J anniversary patch too, didn't see them selling until late on Saturday. Went to have a look what they had on the table, got distracted by a display and forgot about them

Cheers Stu all ordered
Re: Aviation Patches
Culdrose had a good amount of patches available, 814, 824 and 771 were all selling, along with the Dutch 860 Sqn, Polish MiG team and the Bronco demo team. 824's patches were a bit steep though, £12 for a squadron crest!
Picked up a few and I'll post them soon, unfortunately I didn't see 771's patches so I might have to send an email or two to see if they have any left

I too was there at Culdrose. I agree on all the patches you mentioned. Got a bit of all of them. It was a much better show for displays and patches than I expected. 814 and the Dutch 860 had the best prices such as £2.50 and £4 respectively. And the 824 crest for 12£ was taking the pee. I passed on it. 736 Sqn were selling their new crest as well. You didn't miss anything at 771 other than the subdued 771 crest and the 771 card patch. They didnt do any special retirement patch which was a real shame. All they did were zippo lighters and a rugby top.

Thanks Todd, big shame they haven't done a retirement patch, think I'll give the others they have a miss. Already got one of the 736 patches last year so not worried I missed them

There you go mate, rather pricey considering mine was £8.00, well worth it though
