Re: Exercise Indradhanush - build up and rumour thread
Gents,
4 Su-30s and the C-130 and C-17 are on the ground at Coningsby now. From what I saw and heard at the 25 end the C-17 is on the taxiway next to the main apron, the others are on the South side at VAS.

The C17 and C130 are both due of fly over to Brize Norton this afternoon. A Brize 'local' is giving 1450 & 1500 arrival times respectively.gary1701 wrote:Gents,

Hi again,
The C-130 is enroute. He left about ten minutes ago. No movement on the C-17, sounds like the tow he keeps requesting has not arrived yet!

yes sorry it wasn't intended as a witch hunt if the info is wrong, just a prompt for others to chip in if there is anything more concrete, but I think RAF Coningsby have answered that.GoldenEagle wrote:As said, I thought. Pity they couldn't have realised something before they arrived to save many of us wasted journeys yesterday particularly as the based stuff weren't flying routine missions either.EGXWinfo Group wrote:RAF Coningsby released a news item on their website saying they are due "from" 1100L

I'd be grateful for what we did get, remember a few years back when it was word of mouth, phone call and the military aviation review? People expect too much in this Internet biased time we live in.drumsey wrote:Pity they couldn't have realised something before they arrived to save many of us wasted journeys yesterday particularly as the based stuff weren't flying routine missions either.EGXWinfo Group wrote:RAF Coningsby released a news item on their website saying they are due "from" 1100L

At least they're here for two weeks so we all should have plenty of opportunities to see and snap them

Why should the RAF tell you everything in advance?
Be thankful they even turned up.
