Another Farnes Photo thread

Post by zoomer » Mon Jun 29, 2015 7:23 pm

Farnes seem to be a popular destination this week.

I took the long drive up from Kent last week and did a trip out on Saturday - well worth it as always, but now I'm totally knackered!
Will be sorting through pix this week, but here's a few I've processed and popped on Flickr already...

Makes a nice change from editing crud-weather aviation shots (light was lovely for a couple of hours, but it clouded over... as seems the rule this summer).

I think you had slightly better weather on saturday than my trip on the sunday.
Nice shots.

Nicely caught and lovely timing on those.
As you say, the lighting has certainly made these shots.

Cheers - yeah a bit of sun really helps, nicest when a little bit diffused.
We had about an hour of sun before it clagged up.

Here's a couple more I've edited today :

Superb selection of images. Always have wanted to go up there but the Drive from deepest Dorset is rather long and we save our long holidays (2 weeks) for Lesvos.

Thanks for the comments - sitting on the seabed playing with seal sounds darn awesome!

I did the trip over a weekend - up friday afternoon/night, trip on saturday, rest and then drive home sunday - so it is possible even from Dorset, but pretty tiring.
Main benefit is planning can be done a couple of days in advance with a good eye on the forecast.

I'm not trying to string this post out but here's a few more I've edited that you might like...
