I'm not sure how realistic this is but a few over on UKAR are getting a bit excited about this Japanese article claiming that a pair of P-1's will attend RIAT

Pair of Maritime Self-Defense Force latent patrol aircraft is " P-1 " , the first time exhibited at the exhibition to be held in the United Kingdom from July 17, 2015 through July 19, " the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2015

Maybe a cheaper option to the P-8 idea? :ninja:

And no likelihood of them being "hijacked" by Farnborough this year (if they come...)

Direct to Update.

Due to the close proximity of the event we will be updating our participating aircraft list on airtattoo.com as soon as we have new aircraft to confirm and not on Thursday at noon.

I hope this helps someone

Yes I can read the above post ,but I was pointing out that RIAT, whilst confirming the participation, haven't announced the fact that there will be a pair as yet.
