I agree that we might get a surprise last minute, but with only really three updates left, we are running out of time.
Greek F-16 gets my vote and probably whatever they have planned for the Battle of Britain salute.
First time I will not be in the show in over 30 years due to a recoup after an operation (can't manage the queuing and lugging all my gear to the display line), but will be camping on the hill over the weekend. looks like the static display will be well worth the entrance fee, wish I could walk it. :(

Afternoon all,
I fancy a trip down to photograph either the arrivals or the departures.
Is it correct that you can purchase tickets to photograph the departures from within the airfield?

Nice debut for RIAT

And so it begins! Lots of excitement and activity here at Air Tattoo HQ as the site build has started! The cones are being put out, fencing erected, marquees built and grandstands constructed all ready for the first visitors attending Park & View three weeks tomorrow!

Has it even flown since it was gifted to the RNHF and moved to Yeovilton?
Cheers

Today's update 25/6/2015
Two examples of the Airbus A400M will be on show. One of the manufacturer's test fleet will be demonstrated spectacularly by Airbus Defence and Space test pilots in the flying display, whilst on the static display as the centrepiece of the RAF Village will see the debut appearance of an RAF A400M, provided by Nos 24 and 70 Squadrons at Brize Norton.

Adding another aerospace manufacturer to the list of those bringing aircraft to RIAT 2015 is AgustaWestland, which will provide an AW149 helicopter for static display.

The Gazelle Squadron from Bourne Park near Andover in Hampshire is sending two of its ex-UK military Westland Gazelle helicopters for the static park.

Three aircraft from Belgian pilot Tony de Bruyn's stable are attending RIAT 2015 on static display. His well-known OV-10B Bronco will be joined by both the Shorts Skyvan utility transports that are regularly operated under contract to support British military parachutist training.

The latest flying addition to the Battle of Britain 75th anniversary commemoration is Spitfire FRXVIIIe SM845, owned by Richard Lake's Spitfire Ltd operation and based at Humberside Airport.

Tracey Curtis-Taylor is again flying her Boeing Stearman A75N1 biplane in for static display, this being the aircraft in which she flew from South Africa to the UK in 2013.

Two of the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar's Spitfires, EE602 and TA805, will unfortunately be unable to attend RIAT for operational reasons. Additionally due to the problems experienced by the BBMF Lancaster we understand that this will no longer be attending.

I'd re-read that about the Lancaster again if i were you Andy ;)

A positive update though, apart from the small losses.

If you look at the invited countries, the US are still flashing amber, so there is chance they will send a B-52.

With regards to Romania, it's a lot closer to Slovakia than RIAT, plus they have already declined.

Nice  well done DBH

And the official blurb from RIAT

.
Due to the close proximity of the event we will be updating our participating aircraft list as soon as we have new aircraft to confirm and not on Thursday at noon

The US Army will be attending the Air Tattoo for the first time in several years, with two German-based helicopters on static display - an AH-64D Apache operated by 2-159th AVN (ARB) at Illesheim, and a UH-60A+ Black Hawk from C/1-214th AVN (AA) at the Grafenwöhr Training Area.
