FREE CAR PARKING PERMIT - Car parking is free of charge - please add a free car parking permit to your order (1 per car). If you are travelling by coach, bike, foot or shuttle bus from Swindon (with our discounted combined ticket!) you don't need a parking permit.
If anyone has booked, what does it say during the process?

http://www.airtattoo.com/airshow/visiti ... ow-tickets
When booking, you are asked to fill in a box asking if you need a FREE CAR PARKING PERMIT ie. you're coming by car.
Once the procedure for purchasing a ticket is complete you print out the ticket & the car parking permit, so two pages instead of one, that's all there is to it.
Just remember you need to take BOTH pages with you.

Swiss Super Puma and PC-7 team officially confirmed
Swiss Air Force Confirm Participation with PC-7 Team and Super Puma Helicopter

We are delighted that the strong Swiss support for the Air Tattoo continues into 2015 with the announcement that our friends from the Swiss Air Force have just confirmed that the PC-7 Aerobatic Team and the Super Puma helicopter will be taking part in the flying display at the Air Tattoo this July.

Following an exceptionally busy and successful 2014 celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Swiss Air Force we once again look forward to the elegance and precision of the PC-7 Team and the agility of the Super Puma display in the skies above RAF Fairford.

From next week we will begin our regular updates on airtattoo.com so keep an eye on the website at noon each Thursday for further country and aircraft information!

Don't forgot to Book your Super Earlybird tickets by 31 January!

The Qatar Emiri Air Force will make its debut at the Air Tattoo when it exhibits a C-130J-30 Hercules in the static display at RIAT 2015. Based in the country's capital Doha, this is one of four such aircraft in the air arm's inventory, the fleet having been delivered in 2011-12.

The Swiss Air Force have confirmed they plan to send the PC-7 Aerobatic Team & the Super Puma Helicopter to attend this summer's Air Tattoo.

The Vulcan XH558 is also confirmed to attend the Air Show this summer. The XH558 will be in the flying and static displays.

LATEST UPDATE: 29/01/15
The Royal New Zealand Air Force has said it would look at the availability of an aircraft to attend RIAT 2015 'closer to the time'.

The US Navy has said that it is looking at the feasibility of sending naval aircraft to RIAT 2015 in light of the special relationship that exists between it and our Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.

A very positive meeting was held at Douglas Bader House this week with the RAF Red Arrows' new team manager Sqn Ldr Cate Driscoll to open discussions regarding the aerobatic team's involvement in RIAT 2015.

A British Airways Airbus A318, one of just two such aircraft in service with the national airline, will appear in the RIAT 2015 static park. The A318 is available at the weekend as it flies its sole BA route, an all-business class service from London City Airport to New York's JFK Airport, during the week. It is scheduled to arrive at Fairford on the Friday afternoon of RIAT and leave during Sunday, ready to resume scheduled operations the next day.

Today's update

The Italian Air Force has written to say it hoped to be able to contribute aircraft this summer. The letter said: "The Air Tattoo has become one of the most fruitful occasions to meet and discuss with other air chiefs subjects of mutual interest. Year after year, the airshow at Fairford is driven by tradition whilst looking forward to the challenges we are asked to face."

Though the Indonesian Air Force is unable to send aircraft to RIAT 2015, it will be represented by its Chief of Staff, who did not rule out aircraft taking part in future RIATs.

A delegation from the Georgian Armed Forces has confirmed they will be attending RIAT 2015.

Following further discussions with British Airways, the Airbus A318 announced last week for static display is scheduled to arrive at RAF Fairford on Saturday morning and not on Friday afternoon as previously reported.

Update 12th February

In accepting his invitation to RIAT 2015, a senior member of the Royal Danish Air Force said he would consider the possibility of sending a Danish military aircraft to RIAT 2015 in the spring, after 2015 schedules had been finalised.

As of 12 February, 14 Military Air Chiefs have already accepted their invitations to this summer's Air Tattoo. This is an unprecedented number for this time of year and reflects the increasingly important role the Air Tattoo plays in supporting international defence diplomacy.

Though they declined our invitation to take part in RIAT 2015, Israel Air Force offered hope for next year. Their letter stated: "I understand that the Royal International Air Tattoo provides a unique opportunity for the IAF to advance dialogue and co-operation with the Royal Air Force and participating forces from across the globe. Therefore the IAF hopes to reconsider participation in 2016."

The Slovak Air Force has written to say it would be honoured to take part in RIAT 2015. However, a decision on which type of aircraft would be sent to support the airshow has yet to be taken.
If the Slovak do send something, please be the elusive digital camo Mig 29

Today's update
LATEST UPDATE: 19/02/15

Following on from the very welcome confirmation earlier this month that the Swiss Air Force will be sending the PC-7 Team and the Super Puma Display Team to RIAT 2015, we are working with both to ensure we are able to stage the mixed formation that proved popular at a number of events in 2014 and which will no doubt be well received at RIAT 2015.

In accepting his invitation to RIAT 2015, a senior US Air Force representative said the airshow's theme Securing The Skies - Past, Present, Future along with the opportunity to recognise several significant aviation milestones "will make RIAT 2015 a memorable event". He said they were currently reviewing their 2015 worldwide airshow support plan and would let us know the outcome in March.
