Was probably the first photo of it outside the UK though. Remember, these things have to be viewed in context with the time/place and when they were uploaded.

Apologies for the civil content, but to prove my point, I'll use one of my own photos. I'll be the first to admit it's c***, but because it was the first of the aircraft anywhere, it gets accepted, even though it was the 6th to be delivered, all of them via Europe.

Can anyone actually see the image here:

Its one of mine, just uploaded, but there seems to be an error (can't display image)?

Hmm, I emailed A.net to say I thought there was a problem, so they must have fixed it.

I still cannot see it though! :unsure: :lol:

Now THIS one has irritated me:

Rejected for Quality, Motive, Blurry and Soft.

http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/rej ... vtiibm.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

OK yes it is blurry in the nose, buts thats DOF blur, rather than just a not-very-good photo.

I'd go so far to add Part of Aircraft Cut-off with it for the main gear that's chopped in half.

Quality I'd assume refers to the boom illuminated by the plume of fire. Motive being the fact that a lot of the aircraft is in the dark, the serial and squadron flash are a little soft in my eyes, and I will agree with the point you make about blur.

I agree with Chris on the undercarriage and serial and squadron flash points. Move the subject a bit to the right and try to give the roundel and serial area a little bit of sharpening and it should be more their standards. Lovely image though!

I think it just lacks that last little kick, particularly around the top of the nose and the tail.
Got these two Transalls rejected for grainy. They don't look grainy on my screen so thoughts are greatly appreciated!

The Transalls are grainy. Look in the shadows. You'll probably need to run it through Neat Image or such like.

The F-22 shot is well panned, but the lighting is a bit poor which doesn't help with the 'flatness' of the image.

Guys,

Had these two rejected,

First one http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/reje ... al-1-2.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Reject reason: quality size motiv soft centered

Second One http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/reje ... 1-al-1.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Reject reason: quality motiv soft contrast

Thoughts?

I can just see a touch under the nose on the first one Dean, not much though.

Same with the second, but I wouldnt have thought it was enough to get them rejected?
