John"s Field parking fee

Post by john@runway11 » Tue Oct 07, 2014 10:08 pm

Good evening,
Just a reminder that there are some people coming onto the field without paying, today i was told that there were quite a number of people on the site and there was a base tour as well, i was dismayed tonight when i emptied the honesty box at the amount in there. One of my campers told me that quite a number of people drove straight up to the viewing area with out paying and was this normal, unfortunately my cctv recorder was not working as it wanted resetting.
Its quite simple we don't ask a lot its one pound per person for the day. Its not fair on the majority of folks who pay to enjoy this site is it.

Regards
John

Agree on that score, Never been to John's field but what's a pound a person - Less than an hours parking in most towns.

I agree, these people should be named and shamed, pity images are not available; I, like a lot of other people really appreciate the facilities John provides, and at a superb rate, we drive a long way to go to John's Field and would hate to lose the privilege, so you scumbags that haven't paid, send the cash in to John, I'll bet you are reading this, you should be ashamed of yourselves..

Not sure when the honost box was emptied but...

I was there yesterday and paid when I arrived. I hope the camper also noted when most of the (Dutch) people left in between 1500 & 1600 they did paid the 1 pound.

John's field is a godsend, for only a quid you can stay all day and with facilities, no better view than a back taxiing RC on 11, from the trailer :Wow:
Though I would think they weren't locals, who use the field a lot, we all appreciate what we have.
Its bad that people treat it that way :@ :@

Its a shame people treat your field this way John, I can hand on heart say you will not spend a better pound doing our hobby. The pound entrance fee is worth it just for the toilets alone  And as far back as I remember, which must be a good 20 years, the price has never gone up!

I tell you what else is sad, on Friday when we were at Lakenheath waiting for the FA-18s there was a bunch of lads having a liquid picnic and when they departed they left all the rubbish on the roadside. Sadly it reflects badly on all of us :@
The last time I saw an F22 at Lakenheath i DIDN'T photoshop it...

Brilliant viewing, with great facilities, and all at a very reasonable cost indeed... :thumb:

First time visiting John's Field, well worth a £1. I'll definately use it again.
Shame on anybody who doesn't pay a £1 to use it. There was a guy in front of me tried to drive onto the field, when he was directed to where he should pay his £1.....he drove off. Unbelievable!!!!

John, visited back in July, great place, £1 is so little to ask, in this day and age you won't get much for your £1. Keep up the good work.

As said above great views, a must if you are in the Mildenhall area.

Hi all, I've not been to the Hall for years but should revisit based on reports on this site mad agree that a pound is nothing for a great day's entertainment. I hope to have the opportunity to sample this facility soon! Well Donne to all those involved.

Its sad when some people park outside on the road and "creep in" to take a shot and think they can get away without paying .One or two people on here used to do it . ;)
