A B2 and B52 flypast over the Normandy beaches would be an entirely apt tribute for the 70th D-Day anniversary.

Guys, opsjockey has provided more accurate information on this exercise and indeed movements generally than most people, so take him at his word, if he says it hasn't flown from Whiteman AFB, it probably hasn't!

And physics will tell you, a 757 can't make it that far in one hop!

What B-2?! A B-52 is taking part in the event, as detailed in the USAF press release.

And of course, OpSec applies in this instance, doesn't it..?

There is no need for some of the comments/responses/personal attacks. Please keep this civil and on topic relating to the exercise.

Keep it clean and friendly please, we do not want the topic to be cluttered with rubbish.

Flying prevails whenever a man and his airplane are put to a test of maximum performance.

Where did you view them?
Aaron, i drove down the lane towards Marston Meysey - the first turning for it on the way out of Fairford past the new housing development heading towards Ampney Crucis. On the map it is the Photo Point that is on the north side of the runway, opposite the southwest loop http://www.pb-photos.com/Images/Aviatio ... irford.pdf if you walk it, you will probably get better views through the hedges to be honest...... If you drive it....... Go slowly as the lanes are narrow and you basically cut through some farmyards, and they have dogs loose .... It is a road though. I went expecting to see them parked outside the B2 hangars ...
