Best thing to do is just sit and wait you will have until June 21st to see whatever turns up no need to do your head in just chill ;) There will be plenty of info when they head our way :thumb:

Best idea yet, lets all just wait and see what arrives, laughing at members posts is rather negative and doesn't help morale on the forum when they are usually merely asking questions or passing on info' they have heard.
Lets all have a fabulous couple of weeks.

From the DUE post in this forum it looks like the only inbound is a P180, which is the wrong combination of letters and numbers for me! :D

Any idea as to what time The Red Arrows will arrive ?

Me too, arrived from the States in just a few days, fabulous service, and a couple of stickers thrown in, marvellous.

A summary of the posts so far for anyone who can’t be bothered to go back over the thread, the few confirmed facts are highlighted

1. Two patches have been produced for persons unknown, 1 with all the B52 Squadrons depicted which mentions Baltops and RAF Fairford 2014, the other for 171ARS shows some Baltic country flags (no mention of Fairford)
2. 8 B52s and 3 KC135s are coming
3. 9 B52s will be arriving 2nd June (no they didn’t)
4. B1s are coming
5. All B52 squadrons are involved, (no mention of whether that’s aircraft or personnel, assume its from the patch referred to above)
6. B52s arrive 30 May (no they didn’t)
7. Someone’s friend who was ‘on Lakenheath’ went to Fairford and neither was ever heard of again (probably consumed by the airfield sweeper monster).
8. Red Arrows arrival may affect B52 arrivals (why?) :S
9. B52s due in 6/7 June
10. Speculation on U2 arrivals although probably not part of the exercise (was correct but probably a 30-40% chance guess) :thumb:
11. 3 B52s coming
12. Now up to 9 B52s and 3 KC135s coming
13. 8 B52s coming
14. Fire trucks from Fort Worth are coming (they already have fire trucks at Fairford, perhaps they need some more  )
15. 7-8 trucks collecting munitions from Welford, no reports of these trucks at Fairford, anyone?
16. C5, C17 and 767 arrived from Barksdale
17. B52 arrival 5 June
18. B52s arrived today (2 Jun) according to the papers (no they didn’t) :@
19. The KC135 Tankers are at Bangor, Maine
20. B52s and B1s arriving at 0900 on 4 Jun
21. viewtopic.php?f=8&p=617066#p617042, (related or not?)

I tried to see through the fog of speculation and gave up, it seems no one knows what is going on? I suppose it all goes to show you should not believe what you see on the internet or hear from that geezer up the pub.

Keep it coming, this is a great thread

As the B1's headed off to sunnier climes, like we thought they would, and its two hours till 0900, I guess the B52's are not coming today. Otherwise this topic would have gone into meltdown. Unless the excitement has worn everyone out and they've missed them!

cheers

The C-5 that went into the hall is morning was 70-0452 which arrived at RCH 616 so not the one at Fairford...

Hi all
Can confirm c-5 Rch 403h is still at ffd as I have just cycled up ,rubbish weather so I have decided to watch from the house instead .
Think iv made a mistake with my scanner ,freq for tower is 338.225 ,but I accidentally ,as I was cycling back ,pressed / knocked one of the buttons on it and it's still on am but doesn't have the d before the am .its got MAN CH01 .... Am
Can someone tell me please If I should still be able to pic up the 52s when they arrive this morning
All the very best as always :P
Max
P.s please feel free to drop me a pm ,if this is more appropriate .
