I don't like to speculate :P but I do wonder if this means we could see some participating aircraft at Fairford ? Taking place from the 14th It wouldn't be impossible :)

Red Flag is at Nellis AFB Nevada USA mate. Absolutely no link with the UK or Fairford.

My mistake I must have misread. As the topic stated an Indian exercise at Waddington ?

Sorry

Since I've never been to any of the RIAT's, I want to pick the brains of those that have.

This year I wouldn't mind trying to catch the 2 Hellenic A-7's that are scheduled to appear, however I don't really want to attend the show on the Saturday or Sunday, so is there any arrivals day tickets/packages on the Thu/Fri that get you round the static or at least good access to the a/c as they arrive?

Thanks

If you want to catch them on the ground friday would be the best bet. However monday would be the best day for a movement as barring a tech issue they are more than likely to be departing. As Andy says thursday is the most likely day for arrival, but nothings guaranteed!

On the Friday is there access to the general static area, I see that the Red's pit area and the adjacent Blue area are open, but not the main aircraft park ?

From years gone by I've seen hundreds of photographs of the aircraft as the taxi past heading to their parking slots upon arrival. I've looked at the RIAT site but can't see any tickets/package that would offer those opportunities?

I could Thursday and Friday.

Thunder

According to Andy (Boff180) who attended the FRIAT forum anything to the West of the FRIAT enclosure will not be open. Knowing our luck all the good stuff will be that way  http://www.airtattoo.com/airshow/visiti ... d-map-2014

Yip, that's what I'm thinking. Would make sense to those in marketing getting you to attend two days at least. What about from outside the fence, I seen on here recently some great pictures of the U-2 taxiing taken from outside the perimeter fence. I suppose it depends on which R/W they're using as well and weather or not you can actually get to these locations in the build up and draw down of the show.

Anyone with any info can you PM me or see my thread in the Fairford section, so I don't distract from this threads title :thumb:

That would be good, are the RTAF pilots still trained in Sweden? With 8 weeks to go the dreaded cancelled box hasn't appears yet, fingers crossed it doesn't
