Just spotted in the circuit for Newquay... (seen from St Austell area - so no details except that it was a C17!)

It was ZZ174, did a couple of circuits at Nqy, I think it's gone now.

ZZ174 (RRR830) also did circuits at EXT after NQY. I'm guessing MCT flight from BZN.

looks like you had some glorious sunshine down there in the SW
May the skies be clear and blue and the wind fair with a guiding star to steer by.

Excellent pics there mate! As for the sunshine, we certainly didn't have much on the Lizard as far as I'm aware :P

Lucky you lot with the weather!! It was "hissing down" here in Wiltshire when it came over the top of me at 11.53 en route back to Brize. Cloudbase was at best 2000ft - which is no good when the traffic is at 6000ft.

It was "hissing down" in Newquay when i was there (06:30-08:00) this morning, in fact it was darker at 08:00 in Newquay than it was at 05:00 in St.Agnes. Proper squalls all afternoon in the west of the county, glorious blue inbetween.

A lucky break between showers, Pete?

Indeed Malf, the C-17 headed so far out to Sea I didn't think it would make it back in time to beat a real hefty shower cloud that was on the doorstep.
