Has anyone considered the Korean Black Eagles for 2014 again?

With all the hard work that went into getting them here a couple of years ago, will 2014 be too soon for them to make the trip again?

Unlikely as they now have even less reason to come over. That and after the costs of last time i doubt they will EVER come over again. Especially with the chances of a return visit... Plus take in to account RIAT's current attitude to what aircraft acts the budget gets spent on.

I would love a mini Huey meet. Lead by the private Huey 509, with mil from Greece/Germany etc and further UH-1 coming in the back of Hercs again from various nations worldwide. These could be supplemented by Bell 212/412 of AAC/DHFS, Dutch, Italian forces etc.

Also wider helicopter types from European Army Air Arms that haven't been for a long time like Spains FAMET and Swedens Helicopter forces.

Any type of phantom would be awesome, certainly missed from the 2013 airshow. Still air forces in Europe flying them so should be a reasonable request!

I think there is more chance of winning the lottery than seeing any aircraft from Iran :)

The only F14's left flying are that of the Iranian Air Force, fat chance of them coming over here to be honest.

I'd rather see the Orao, they're somewhat rarer in the UK...

The Lithuanian C-27 mentioned in todays update would be most welcome.

Looks like the USAF have confirmed the F22 Raptor to have a full display schedule for 2014 - whether that includes Fairford is another question!!

Now as it’s a Farnborough year I think you have got to hope that the manufacturers / government's / air forces will be keen to send stuff that they would like to sell on the open market and hence RIAT might benefit from that. Based on that my wish list would be:

1. Lockheed F35 – don't care which version! They have built 100 of these now, so let's see one!
2. Sukhoi PAK FA (SU-50) – It's an export model by definition as its being built in cooperation with India. Would steal the show!
3. Saab Gripen NG – Looking for more export buys on the back of Switzerland and Brazil
4. PAC JF-17 Thunder – came last time… I missed it
5. Chengdu J-10 – To be honest anything from the PLA would be great!
6. Boeing F18G – Ricardo Traven in a Growler

I am going to add to my own list ,it would be fantastic to see a USAF B-1B lancer (funding permitting) and also any SU-27/35 variant
And I would not mind any f-16 vipers ether
I'm starting to get rather exited now
Gota feeling it's going to be a good one this year :)
All the very best as aways :P
