Reading that as a scot it should probably read "Scotch Mist"
Appropriatly meaning something that does not exist

Only thing I can think of is a Valiant, but we would be able to help you better if you have a photo of the jet.

Could the OP be thinking about the Valiant, the nose being slightly similar to the Vulcan?

It's an Armstrong Whitworth 52.The First prototype crashed in 1949,without loss of life........making it the First ejection of a British pilot!

To be pedantic it should actually be written in italics and is short for "sic erat scriptum", that's if I remember correctly from those hideously boring Latin lessons all those years ago. :whistle:
