Post by Neil Owen » Thu Nov 14, 2013 8:38 am

So far have see the following dates mentioned, can anyone confirm or add more...

14/15 June Phalsbourg

21/22 June Cazaux

28/29 June Le Luc

5/6 July Nancy

14 July Paris Flypast

Also an 'event' at Mont De Marsan on June 13th for the retirement of the Mirage F1CR. And a show at Dijon (date?) for the 100th aniversary of the base.

Pity they don't have any shows in the north of France!

There's nothing left in the North mate!!Nancy is kind of but is a rubbish venue, Cazaux is okay-ish but mainly into the sun and impossible to do for arrivals /departures. Dijon is in the centre and is also into the sun, haven't done the others for public events. Losing Reims and Cambrai is a big loss to enthusiasts - both were excellent airshow airfields and within easy reach of the ports...

That's true. I'd totally forgotten that Cambrai was closed, it'd have been perfect to hit and run in a weekend. Highly unlikely, but fingers crossed the French Navy decide to put on a show in the North..

Do you happen to know if the Singapore A4s are still based in Cazaux?

The Skyhawks have been retired. Not sure if they've been delivered yet, but they were due to be replaced by the M346.

The first M346 was delivered to Cazaux in November 2012 so I would guess they have a few of them by now (of the 12 planned).

Isn't Le Luc meant to be DAX?

I think both Le Luc and Dax have shows in the weekend of 28/29 June with Dax being the show for the 60th aniversary of ALAT.

Le Luc is the main show for the ALAT anniversary.
You want the Aladeen news, or the Aladeen news?

How big an event is the one at Nancy and is it likely to pull displays away from Waddington (other than the French ones obviously).

Another addition is the French Navy show will be at Hyeres on Sunday June 15th.
