07-10-13 The Captain's log

Post by captain scarlet » Mon Oct 07, 2013 7:38 pm

Hi all,

a different airfield for me to visit (and log) with many thanks to craig (the flyingslug) for the lift and to everyone else for the company and (most brutal) banter throughout the day. Here are the flyers -

XX321 CI pirate 18
XX246 jester 11 (i think, sounded like jester  )
XX255 CL jester 12 (i think)
XX198 CG capture 1
XX184 CQ capture 2
345 125-BU ramex 31 flt
369 125-AG
348 125-AL ramex 40 flt
364 125-BB
XX346 CH aggressor 14
G-BYYA uniform 03 (also flew as 09 in afternoon)
ZA713 vortex 482 o/s

also had a pair of GR4s o/s, heard the callsign spartan 2 so any tie ups would be appreciated.

edit: looks like the GR4's were spartan 1 and 2 which were ZA557 048 and ZD714 082 (thanks to markranger for this info :thumb: ).

P.M.

XX184 CQ javelin 32
XX200 CO aggressor 26
ZF489 lima 86 o/s
ZG887 army air 969
ZK335 FC jedi 21 L
ZK340 FI jedi 22 L
ZK316 FA jedi 23 L
ZK329 FH jedi 24 L
ZG884 army air 970 o/s and L
ZJ928 FQ psycho 12 L
ZK336 FD psycho 13 L
ZK339 FG psycho 14 L
345 125-bu ramex 21
369 125-AG ramex 22
ZG884 army air 970 depart
ZF243 lima 66 o/s
348 125-AL ramex 23
364 125-BB ramex 24
ZH900 vortex 547 L
XX198 CG pirate 15

Any help with the gaps/confusions would be much appreciated (army air 970 for instance, it may well have landed then took off again which might explain ZG884  ) -now updated. Anyone know the other tornado GR4 serial (and callsigns)?

Great day, really enjoyed myself at a very different airfield to my usual (coningsby). :thumb:

ZG884 did two overshoots at 3.14 and 3.29 pm
XX200 CO was Agressor 26 I think

I'll tell you what Captain, as you know I'm not a number cruncher, but your trip up there may well wake a few of the locals up. I think you've done a very good job.

This can of course only enhance your application for Club Membership - still under management review.

Lost sheep? Well, there were plenty in that field by the water works! ;)

I was out of my comfort zone though, coningsby is like a pair of well worn slippers to me where i know all the frequencies, callsigns etc whereas leeming was very alien to me.
