1:32 Buccaneer now?
Look what I found on ebaY. I had one of these and sold it for seventy quid about seven or eight years ago - if only I had held on to it.
Re: 1:32 Buccaneer now?
That is an expensive bit of vacform, im guessing these things are as rare as rocking horse
.

Re: 1:32 Buccaneer now?
Yes, new it was about £55.00, and they guy kept buyers waiting over 2 years beyond paid pre-order, some folks never got their kits. It was supposed to be a run of 500 kits, but only around 70 were made and most were incomplete.
With a lot of work it can be turned into a good model, but it's not for the feint heated.

Re: 1:32 Buccaneer now?
Even I wouldnt splash that sort of cash on a kit, especialy a vacform one. Ive only ever done one before and it was a nightmare, best left to those who are good at them

Re: 1:32 Buccaneer now?
As I have intimated before, I previously owned one of these kits, and I bad my doubts it was worth the £55.00 I originally paid for it - I believe the last one to appear on ebaY fetched a lot more than the £300.00 starting price here, something in the region of £500.00 if my memory serves me correctly.
Re: 1:32 Buccaneer now?
People are crazy. There's folks still splashing-out about fifty quid for the Airfix 72nd TSR2 even though it'll be on sale again for about £20 in a few months!
I guess a really good Buccaneer might be worth a lot of cash but that ghastly vacform wasn't worth all that much. I suppose we'll have to wait for news of the mysterious Trumpeter kit - if it turns-out to be 48th scale then perhaps someone else might have a go at a 32nd scale kit - wouldn't it be sweet if Fisher tackled it?!

Re: 1:32 Buccaneer now?
If anyone is capable of doing a good limited run Buccaneer, Paul Fisher is the guy, and he loves British aircraft from the 40s/50s/60s.
Re: 1:32 Buccaneer now?
Re-listed - I'd have thought that the fact it didn't sell first time around would have told the seller that the starting price and/or reserve were way too high.
