If it cant be fixed with a hammer, then its an electrical problem.

Looked and sounded like 2 15 Sqdn Tornado GR.4s calling POKER Formation.

From the RAF Leuchars FB Page:

Typhoons are scheduled for the 3rd, the 10th and the 12th. (All others will be operated by Tornados)

Any idea which 2 actually performed the Flypast? And which was the spare? Just seen 2 of them going over.

Tonight were 2 6 Sqdn Typhoons calling up TURBO 11 Flight. Would love to know which 2 Typhoons performed the Flypast?

Is there likely to be a mixed type Formation for the Flypast as there was Last Year, Seem to remember a couple of times we had 2 Typhoons and 2 Tornados in one Formation?

Nope. No mixed formations planned. Remaining dates as follows....

Tue 06 - 2 x Tornados - TOT 2000Z
Thu 08 - 2 x Tornados - TOT 2000Z
Sat 10 - 2 x Typhoons - TOT 1830Z
Mon 12 - 2 x Typhoons - TOT 2000Z

Plus possibly another 2 typhoons in the following days depending on if the BBC need to re-film due to weather.

Almost missed them, heard them just after they were over the Castle then just caught a glimpse as they.turned towards the Airport Northbound. 2 Tornado GR.4s - POKER.

You might be in luck. We've been getting noise complaints from a guy in Inverkeithing the last few nights, so we are looking at alternative routings, including perhaps routing them out via Grangemouth.

If I was rostered to be backshift on any of the nights I would send them in your direction but unfortunately I'm not. Maybe next year :P

There's always one spoilsport, really enjoying viewing them from the West side of Edinburgh, see them pull up before heading overhead Edinburgh Airport.

Dont divert them! I live at the old radio station above Rosyth and love seeing them come more or less directly over the house. Lord knows what Inverkeithing mans complaint is, there is more noise from the motorway, bridge construction, demolition work at old concrete fuel tanks than any 10 second blast from either the Tornados and Typhoons. There is often more jet noise from Airliners on the SID when youre on 06 departures!!

I'm with you Proudscot the noise is no worse in my opinion than a Ryanair 737 or a Jet on a Holiday Charter Flight.

There's a daily fireworks display at 10.30pm, so a couple of jets flying over at either 7.30pm or 9pm really shouldn't be getting complaints. Boring b :grr: s!
