Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
Whilst Polish Mig-29 are very welcome, it is still shame that the Polish could not have displayed Su-22 instead. After all we had Migs last year, and very soon the Su-22 will be gone.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
agree with doughnut, im happy the Mig 29 is coming but the Su22s would have been awesome.

Belgian Air ComponentNext month's Air Tattoo launch on June 18 will see BBC Formula 1 presenter Suzi Perry fly in to RAF Fairford aboard an RAF Typhoon from RAF Coningsby to launch this summer's Air Tattoo. The event, which takes place on Tuesday, June 18 will see around five exciting aircraft arrive to help promote July's airshow. Up to 40 FRIAT members (Friends of the Royal International Air Tattoo) who have purchased their tickets on or before Sunday, June 2 will be eligible to enter a draw to attend the private event.
The Air Tattoo is still awaiting official confirmation from the French Air Force regarding its participation. We remain confident that we shall receive notification shortly and we shall let you know as soon as we do.

The An-2's are military, the L-39's I think you will find are leased civilian examples although one or two may carry military serials. Sadly the An-2 is also due to be at Volkel, so pobably the same one that will be at RIAT (but hopefully not!)

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013

To me, it looks like it will be a fantastic show, given the current constraints, and me and SWMBO can't be there
I just hope all you guys and gals enjoy it and put some great shots up, so's we can join in with the fun

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
Daftest thing is, "The Cat" somehow makes for some of the best shots (IMHO) Certainly some of my best have involved her !
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
Glad you posted that. I was thinking I may have been a club on my own with that one. I agree it does sound daft but some of my best shots from the Leuchars she was at were of the Cat.beefsteak wrote:Daftest thing is, "The Cat" somehow makes for some of the best shots (IMHO) Certainly some of my best have involved her !
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
Once all the military additions are all confirmed, which l believe they pretty much are then I think civilian teams will fill the remaining display times?
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
Should be good to see Italian Typhoon, Gripen, F16 and Mig29
Whats the deal with the Swedish historical flight Viggen & Draken then?

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
Where does it say this?Chris Melaisi wrote:Viggen, Saab 105 and the Tunnan - they've cancelled Yeovilton and RIAT/Waddo aint confirmed yetRory wrote:Should be good to see Italian Typhoon, Gripen, F16 and Mig29Whats the deal with the Swedish historical flight Viggen & Draken then?

Chris.
Looking at the program they have online it says 'Ej Klar' (not confirmed) for Waddo and RIAT and 'UTGAR' (proceeds) for Yeovilton. Proceeds I guess means talks ongoing? 'KLAR' is confirmed. Yeovilton was changed to UTGAR last week - so who knows!
Fingers crossed. Im off to Sweden this weekend so I will be seeing them there. They are also confirmed for Leuchars.
