Matt

Keep an eye on the phantom-pharewell website as posted by massimo, info is going to be posted on there at some point. There was a post on the UKAR saying registration process has only open 4 to 6 weeks before the spotters day in the past. Hopefully it might happen earlier this time

As a matter of interest, anyone know how many F-4's remain here?
(Part of a 'cost benefit' exercise for trip from IRL!)

Last thing I read said 14 were active, Richard de Florennes on scramble saw 20 different airframe active during 2012 http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php? ... 5&start=75" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

With more than 4 months before the retirement, you would expect the numbers to dwindle more :(

I have been at Wittmund on the 19th Feb. 2013. There are "still" about 14 acft remaining so far (I've counted 13 different on that day) But you can expect about 1-2 acft eacht month to leave for the scrapyard at Jever.
But you can expect at least minimum 4 acft in flying conditions at the Open Day:
37+01 Fly Out livery
38+10 Retro livery
38+33 Retro livery
37+22 Norm 90J livery

I thought a Greek F-4 had been requested, and as yet there's been nothing back from Greece to confirm either way? Obviously, if it has confirmed, it's missing from the attendance list that went up a couple of days ago!

Can anyone please tell me what days they will be flying? If any, I haven't requested for the spottersdayas I'm more interested in catching the phantoms in the air. Can anyone please help me out with regards to flying activities?

Many thanks andy

A few more bits added to the static line up. The highlights include USAF A-10s & F15s, the Hellenic Phantom and Spanish Hornet.

For all those who haven't registered for the spotter's day at Wittmund yet. According to a posting on their facebook page, they now have instituted a deadline for registration:

Quote: "Contrary to our actual intention we now have to announce a registration deadline for the spotterday.
It's Tuesday 04/30/13. Requests thereafter cannot be accepted for organizational reasons."

And here's a link to their facebook page, just in case...

Cheers

Andy
