RED STAR GB Rules and Chat Thread

Post by tc2324 » Wed Jan 23, 2013 9:12 am

Zdravstvujtye comrade,

Please review the rules below for the up and coming glorious motherland group build.

The Rules

1. Starts at 10pm on the 3rd February 2013 and finishes at 10pm on the 5th May 2013. (There will be no extensions comrade...., the motherland expects you to be efficient!)
2. Any model scale of any aircraft that have been flown or are flown with a Soviet/Russian red star only in the Soviet/Russian Airforce. (Captured/evaluation aircraft are accepted as long as you can prove they existed) ;)
3. Entries should have a WIP thread, in the WIP section with all major stages of construction covered.
4. Please head your WIP and finished build `RED STAR GB` followed by the aircraft`s designation. ie `RED STAR GB - MiG 15`.
5. A seperate GB gallery will be set up shortly for your completed builds.
6. There will be an open voting system at the end of the GB and the winner will win prize. (If that be spending time in the gulag or a model kit has yet to be confirmed)
7. Very important is rule number 6....., Remember to toast your finished build with Vodka......., and to also have fun comrade.

If you have any questions about this GB, your secret contact via PM is that famous capitalist pig tc2324.

Do svidaniya Comrade and good luck.

Hopefully i should be sorted by then, so you can count me in. The new Trumpeter early Su-27 has caught my eye so you've handed me an excuse to build it!

When I can get to my stash again i'll have a look for you. I'm not certain but I think one of the Hobbyboss P-39/63 kits had 2 Soviet options.

But I REALLY enjoy looking at all the fantastic skills you all show on this forum, and try to keep up with all your progress, as I am soooooo jealous of your skills

I will be peeking, you can be sure!

Very best regards all

Well guys, thought Id start building up the excitement. I've got the Eduard 1/48 MIG-21 SMT Profipack in my stash, so that's my kit! It's a great kit - will be doing a camo 1/48 with all the trimmings!

I might do her in flight and try and replica and afterburner effect! Will have to see how it goes though!

Comrades, in our glorious fight against the capatilists pigs, Comrade FTS and Comrade Mosquito have donated the following prizes for this GB

1st - 1/72 Hasegawa MiG-27
2nd - 1/72 Airfix Sea King
3rd - 1/72 Airfix Sea Hurricane

(Unfortunately the `working` holiday to Siberia fell through) :D

On a serious note, I would like to thank FTS and Mos for their help with the prizes, it is very much apprieciatted gentleman. :thumb:
