Post by lrv890 » Sun Jan 13, 2013 7:16 pm

It was an early start but well worth the effort

Considering the claggy conditions, your pictures are outstanding mate. :Wow:
I spent the morning shooting on the trailer, and really struggled!
Fantastic post!

Hawkeye13 they diverted in on Friday after a mishap during refuelling
A 4 ship and tanker left this morning around 10am , as I haven't heard anything about the other 4 ship I assume they are still there waiting for the tanker to be repaired
Try asking the question in the control mess perhaps someone has more info for you
Hope this helps

Are staying ,anyone know why they are visiting.

Cheers Hawkeye13. :thumb:
They came in on a divert Hawkeye- one of them broke his refueling probe in the tankers basket. 8 came in, 4 left today and four are left on the deck. They're waiting for the basket on the tanker to be fixed before they can leave (hopefullly tomorrow sometime?)

Fantastic pictures  , the ones I got are rubbish in comparison as I struggled with my settings. The 4 Gripens that departed today were 264, 278, 269 and 252. The others were still on the ground at 4pm when I left, they are: 282, 249, 255 and 254; hope that helps Hawkeye13 if you are thinking of getting down there tomorrow. I would get there fairly early as I have a suspiscion they will be going out well before 10am; more likely to be an 8am - 9am departure.
