RAF Fairford

Post by stealth1234 » Mon Nov 19, 2012 6:27 pm

Hi guys im not sure if this is in the correct place so feel free to move it !

Recently someone told me that there would be a deployment at RAF Fairford this month, sorry i cant say who  They didn't tell me what this would consist of but that it is to do with Syria. I recent saw that someone has posted in the rumours section stateing they have heard from a ''friend'' x9 B52's would be deploying this Tuesday/Wednesday ?

I have also found a job going for RAF Fairford for a new ''project''

Doen anyone know anything ? is Fairford going to be reactivated ?

Kindest Regards'

Mark. :)

Not sure that job has any significance to Fairford being active or reactivated to be honest. Just looks like they need someone to help do some painting

The job could be to paint anything, could be for just painting the office for all we know  Wouldnt read to much into it, unless they have a bomber paintshop at fairford now :ninja:

As I live in the quarters we haven't been told we have to move out due to the USAF moving back (the MOD has the lease for at least 5 years on the quarters)

So I doubt they are coming back enmass, I've just read the painter job and I have never seen an aircraft finish needing filler or insecticide so I'd say it's a normal painting job.
