Is that the shifty character that keeps asking fellow photographers how to turn the IS on? ;)

Re: Spotter spotting/calling card

Post by airfixpilot » Thu Jul 12, 2012 8:36 am

Hello. I have just copied my post to this forum, from the website section, as I think it is useful on spotter spotting forum. I was wondering what other users think about my comments??
I am at the moment do not have a website, but have been bizzy setting out a calling card, which I can take on my travels, to airbases. I will use this to introduce myself to fellow FC members. It has my mobile & email address on it. Along with this it has a Logo AIRFIXPILOT on top and a clipart pilot in the right corner.
On the left hand side it says: Watching and Listening in Lincolnshire. If you would like one to look at, please pm me on this site, with your email, or send me a email to dpyke29@gmail.com. I have not got any printed yet, but I am willing to send one as a proof on an attachment . I did this as most people nowadays dont have pens/pencils or paper with them, so I thought it would help to introduced myself with a card. Hope to hear from fellow members about this project, as I think it would help others who meet at bases/airshows for the first time. Going on from this, why dont we promote FC by some kind of pin badge, we could buy, with a logo?

JUST A THOUGHT

Yours Airfixpilot (watching & listerning in Lincolnshire)

No disrespect intended but before you go handing out your cards willy nilly it may help if you checked you spellings !! (Listening not listerning for one)

I thought the guy on the left made the shot, seeing as he's up for a knighthood and the spotter of the decade award! ;)

That photo Cheesy could well involve me and Tom standing on the rock. I say could because we are there a fair bit. :thumb:

This topic does make me feel slightly gutted I didn't take a picture of the guys on Cad West on 3rd August last year. Was a fair few of us!

Was at Valley in March, and one spotter was clearly enjoying his steak slice...

Sorry bro, just you were looking at that Hawk so intently and didn't realise there was a little pastry around your face....
