If the Black Eagles go up, they will go to Scampton to display again.

Stealth: Can confirm that the only practice display was by the E3, I think I heard him go through his routine at least twice on the airwaves.

Currently: Fast Jet activity, unable to confirm what it is a this stage, does not sound like a team though. EDIT: Just been told that Black Eagles are coming into land, they must have been doing a practice display over Scampton again. Looks like they are using the R313 airspace over Scampton, it's a shame no one seems to be able to pin their practice times in as it would be worth a drive up to Scampton from Waddington.

Information for Wednesday Afternoon 27/06/12

Due to the Olympic Torch Relay the A15 will be closed North of the Waddington WAVE at the South boundary of Bracebridge Heath. Closure due at 1645 local for the Torch Arrival at 1703 according to the council. Closure will extend from this point onto the B1188 Canwick Road. I believe the relay through Bracebridge Heath will take no longer than 20-30mins however from Bracebridge Heath it will be driven down Canwick hill and the relay will resume in Lincoln, on south park near the fire and ambulance stations. Hopefully closures in Bracebridge Heath will last under an hour from 1645 but you never know how it will go on the day.

This information is for anyone viewing at RAF Waddington who may need to depart this way towards the end of the day. It will effect you if you travel North from the WAVE (Turning Right) on the A15 during this time.

Friday - weather forecast is very poor with the main problem being the crosswinds (20kts gusting 40 kts). As a pilot I know that forecasts can be inaccurate and can change quite quickly. Having taken a PA28 into Waddo for the GA Day in April in much lower crosswinds (but enough to get your fullest attention) dont expect much of the lighter stuff to come in on Friday if the winds are anything near the current forecast. I suspect that these winds would also be out of limits for much larger aircraft. Hope I'm wrong!

A bit of a long shot but due to work load I only have two or three hours at weekend so its not worth paying the enterance fee for the show, does anyone know of a field or car park being used for viewing similar to the one provided by the local rotary club at Cosford so I dont have to park illegaly and upset the local constabulary.
