Yeah, unfortunately my frame rates are not that great but it works... occasionally.
I have my sliders about 2/3rds of the way otherwise i'd never manage it.
If i have my FSX on "full screen" i am getting 22-39fps with trees at Dense and complexity at Very Sparse but if i have it normal (not windowed or full screen) then its 8-12fps.

I only use the object scenery if i am doing SPTA or something luckily.

We do enjoy the formation flights. We would like some more people to join in if they could... C130s used to be in "threes" in the good old days.

We swap formation leads throughout and make sure we have altitude blocks and speed brackets in place along with smooth transitions (especially in helos) so formations can be kept instead of playing catch up.

We have fun, its not all serious but i try and make it as realistic as possible especially if we are doing exercises and training but we do sometimes have a mill about. We also practice confined area training in pairs, making sure there are two areas nearby or we hold off and take turns.

We also do the harder stuff...

Proper formation flying, the Herc i was flying needed quite a bit of flaps to keep it steady at that slow speed. Oli was in the Pavehawk and Pave Low.

Re-creating a photo I saw, I made the brick structure in Gmax (I wouldn't reccomend using it - I was tearing my hair out at this 'simple task'!) and making it landable (which was the cause of the frustration)

If its alright with you guys, I would like to join in! Myself and 2 others usually fly similar realistic sorties as you guys do. Ours range from Fast Jet Ops, flying round LFA7 & 7T mainly, and bombing practise at Pembrey, Holbeach and Castle Martin for JTAC stuff. Also, do AAR, Helicopter Ops round SPTA etc. Would be good the have a few more pilots to fly with :)

SF2 (Strike Fighters 2, a merged install of all the separate versions into one), a Thirdwire product.
http://www.thirdwire.com/

I have to say its pretty darn good! challenging AI (occasionally displays human traits, like screwing up royally, or hitting the ground instead of bombing it!), wide variety of downloadable aircraft addons (CombatAce http://combatace.com/ ), terrains etc etc. Realistic weapons packs, ECM that is as effective when used correctly as real life.
I havent used FS9 since my HD went arse up, but even though i lost around 300 addons for FS9, i would rate SF2 as a much better alternative, its not just flying around, you have to think and react to threats that can be quite a pain in the afterburner!
Its not LOMAC or DCS:A-10, but its certainly up there . . .

Its my own scenery, the Oshkosh is my own 3D model i am in the process of making. That was a simple "beta" test. The Faun mats are also my own.
