What I was referring to was the fact that normally the jet would be covered and removed from public sight. But fair point, with a camera, guess I left myself open to that one!

That was my impression - the MDC canopy edge looks very smooth, like it was separated rather than smashed.

Let's hope so!

Pictures here do not show very smooth edges. Looks more "broken" than "shattered by det".

If the det fired would it not have shattered the whole canopy?

Praying the pilot is ok.

I disagree Rich the edge looks consistent with the MDC firing and leaving its cleanish edge.

Photo three is misleading as the rear view mirrors are in place, not bits of canopy.

Photo three also suggests the seat fired correctly as there is residue from the rocket pack on the paint work.

Mine and my families thoughts are with the pilot and there familiy, lets all hope and pray that its not the worst outcome, what a terriable thing to happen to anyone. :(
