Hi everyone

Saw XH558 at Coningsby today, she is still parked outside on the South side of the airfield and was still in the same place when we left at 18.30pm.

There as been a lot of activity around her today which included the intake and jet pipe covers being removed and an what appeared to be an engine start performed.

After about 20mins she was shut down and the word on the fence today is she will be relocated to a hangar tomorrow.

Hope this is helpfull.

Best rgds

BBC reporting that the Vulcan will be at Portrush tomorrow. Originally it was meant to be on Sunday. Can anyone confirm?

Today's newsletter says it's Sunday for Portrush if possible.

She displays at 5.00pm Sunday in Portrush after transitting from Cosby, Leicestershire. (Recreating The Port Stanley bombing)
Hopefully , if it's clear , she should be visible to those in my area !!

Weather forecast didn't look good for N Ireland at around 5pm this evening. Would be a shame if the weather scuppered the displays after all the recent problems.

Heavy rain here at Coningsby at the minute, Vulcan makes a good umbrella for the groundcrew.

Cheers Paul.

Beefsteak,

It looks as though you live far too close to my residence in Northwich!

Will they be flying back to Robin Hood this week or staying at Coningsby until Saturday?

Well 558 is fuelled for a long flight so it wouldn't surprise me to hear they are staying if it's possible.
